Second year of medschool and birthday celebration

This week has been filled with excitement. From Than finishing his second year of medical school (hardest year of his life) to my turning 26 years young.

We started off the celebration with a nice dinner at Tutti Santi which is a nice Italian restaurant by our Glendale home. We had the best freshly made ravioli we've ever had as an appetizer. I had the salmon and mushroom in a cream sauce on spaghetti noodles and Than had rigatoni with meat sauce. We then went out latin dancing with some friends (I convinced Than to go with me for my birthday) and headed home to get a good nights rest.

Saturday we went to Dorothys birthday. She is our niece and turned one. We had a delicious pulled pork dinner and had a good time visiting with friends and family. Here's a picture of Rex playing with his grandpas garden

Sunday we went to church before heading to California to be there for the next 3 days. We were lucky enough not to have to stop and Rex slept most of the way.

We had dinner at Mama Cozzas, an italian restaurant on dinners, dive-ins and dives (a tv show). I had the rigatoni in meat sauce and I thought it was pretty good and Than had lasagna, spageti and ravioli meal.

Rex loved eating breadstickks and anything he could get his hands on

We then headed to our hotel close to Disneyland (Marriot) and Rex loved exploring the rooms. He was so excited to be there. He kept showing me all the different items in the rooms.

Monday morning we woke up and went to Denys for breakfast for my Birthday (monday was my actual Birthday). I ate eggs and bacon and Rex had 2 pancakes (this little boy can down his food) and Than had a sandwich

The first ride we rode was Monsters inc. We met our friends Cassie and Danny and their cute son Blake who's 2 months older than Rex. They loved the ride and did so well in it.

The next ride was a bugs life. The line was a little longer but the boys did very well. They just hung out  and played alonside each other.

Next we went to the splashpad and it was in the 80's so getting wet was a good idea. Rex just sat under the water an got soaked but it dried pretty quick

This picture was taken in front of the Ferris wheel in California adventures. Our fist family picture of the trip

Then the adults took turns riding tower of terror and while Danny and Cassie were riding Rex found a lady sweeping the park and took the broom from her and started sweeping. The broom was the perfect size and he loved carrying it around.

This picture was taken in cars land before their ride broke and we didnt get to ride it :(

Rex and Than? rode the marry go round. Dont know how than didnt get yelled at but I guess Rex was safer that way.

We then headed over to Disneyland park and went straight to fantasy land where we rode alice in wonderland and a couple other kiddie rides.

We then watched the parade and got some churros of course. Rex was very attentive and interested in all of it.

Bye for now

We left before the parade to beat the crowd and headed to the hotel. Our friends were so sweet and took Rex to their hotel room to watch him while we went out to eat for my birthday. We went to Benihana and had them cook in front of use some delicious Japanese food. I got the teriyaki chicken and a Vegas roll and Than got a really good spicy chicken dish.

DAY 2

The second day at Disneyland we got there early to beat the crowd and the first ride we did was Its a small world and Rex wanted to get out of the boat and play with all the cool dolls so bad.

We then headed to toon town and let the boys run wild! We went to goofys house because I knew Rex would love playing on his piano and to our suprise goofy came in and played the piano with Rex. He shook his hand and Rex had no idea what was going on.

We then rode space mountain which is one of my favorite rides and then headed to California adventures for the rest of the day.
We took the boys to a kiddie climbing place and they loved it. We played in the water and slides etc.

We rode a few more rides and were exhausted so we decided to watch the parade and go back to the hotel. Rex was too tired to enjoy the parade so i didn't get any pictures of it.

We then ate some yummy food at Oggy's which was next to the hotel so we just walked to our room and went to be after. We were soooo tired from 2 consecutive days of Disneyland with a 14 month old that we went to bed at 9:30pm ahhh

The next day we woke up and got ready to go to the beach. Rex's first time! It was kinda cold so I just had him feel the water and feel the sand between his toes.

We then started our drive back to Glendale and ate some good authentic Mexican food along the way.
